A public performance is a performance open to friends, parents, and the general public. Most performances are public, with few exceptions. In the school setting, performances conducted within an educational framework in front of students without parental presence are considered internal performances.<\/p>\n

Schools in Qu\u00e9bec benefit from a system that is unique in Canada \u2014 and even in the world.<\/p>\n

Reproduction rights<\/strong> \u2014 that is, photocopying and\/or digital classroom use \u2014 are covered by Copibec<\/strong>. Simply fill out the form \u201cI work for a school in Qu\u00e9bec.\u201d <\/strong>You will then receive the play text(s) free of charge, and Animagination<\/strong> will take care of submitting the declaration to Copibec on your behalf.<\/p>\n

Performance rights<\/strong> are managed by AQAD<\/strong> (Association qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise des auteurs et autrices dramatiques<\/em>). Thanks to an agreement with the Ministry of Education (MEQ)<\/strong>, these fees are paid directly, at no cost to your school. However, to ensure that the author receives proper compensation, teachers must, after the public performances<\/strong>, complete the online form available on the AQAD website : https:\/\/form.jotform.com\/92614421300241<\/a><\/p>\n
